Do we take the cap hit if he takes a medical retirement?

They will all compete in training camp/preseason and best 5 will start week 1. However that shakes out.

Can Ram play guard?

Would that be better on his knee?

Lemieux is a guard and Herron a tackle. Both have starred games in the league but have been injured lately. Should fit right in

The signing bonuses already paid have to hit our cap, or else you create an insane loophole for dead money.

A LT thats never played left side before?

A LG thats never played left side/LG before?

A RT that immediately may put expensive Ram on the bench and we have Young and Ezirim just drafted that's a RT?

Fuaga has only played in college. What are the Saints thinking trying to fix their line with a former college player?!?

Ram is not ever playing football again. He lost a ton of weight and has a knee that could not be repaired. He is only an "active" player on our roster because he is doing us a solid and not retiring right now. We paid him a few million to drop his guaranteed salary to vet minimum, and he will officially retire next season so that we can spread the cap hit out into further years.

Stop thinking of Ram as anything but an accounting gimmick to this roster.
