Who gets the contract to power wash the mural off the parking lot once they’re evicted?

The COA already got the contract plus an extra $500,000.

Would love to know how Boil & Roux got the original contract and how they could justify that insane amount for 30 frickin kids.

Since you didn’t post anything from the article:

quote:

Grand Wall Chinese Supper Buffet, the property’s landlord, says Boil & Roux’s owner has failed to pay its $6,144-a-month rent since last June

quote:

Boil & Roux never asked the landlord for permission to make renovations last year when it added a fence and constructed an outdoor patio. Those upgrades to the property led to code and ordinance violations levied by Baton Rouge city inspectors, the filing stated.

quote:

The property owner also said Boil & Roux failed to retain renters’ commercial insurance

Haven’t paid rent since June? Kick them out. It shouldn’t take this long.

The original owner is a POS who got busted years ago for tax fraud or something. Real piece of work. The new ‘owner’ Moe is, what i’ve been told by past Glenn Oaks graduates, a ‘frick boi.’

Later this month, the Metro Council could vote on paying the Council on Aging $480,480 to provide meals for teenagers in juvenile jail as they await trials. If passed, the allotted amount will feed the teens from Feb. 1 to Dec. 31, 2024. The council also has the option of extending that contract with the Council on Aging through the end of 2025. According to the Mayor's office, the juvenile jail and kitchen services have had issues with staffing. They have managed to feed the juveniles through outside, satellite vendors. Through document's we've obtained, $7,200 was paid to AYCE Catering in November and another $6,600 in December. AYCE Catering shares the same address as the Boil & Roux restaurant on Coursey Blvd. Also in December, the EBR Council on Aging received $26,000 and again in January.

These kids aren’t being fed jailhouse slop. $32k to feed 30 juveniles in December

Just simply the fact that they are trying to get rid of hard working black folks is blatant racism.

Doesn’t matter if they are behind on payments, it’s just racism
