It's strange to live in a world where trucks with more than 700 horsepower are a dime a dozen. There's the Ram TRX and Ford F-150 Raptor R, not to mention all the high-performance electric pickups that have hit the road like the GMC Hummer EV, Rivian R1T, and so on. But these are all pricey, coming in at nearly $100,000 if not a good deal more. That's reason enough to celebrate TC Customs' 2024 Ford F-150 Sleeper builds, which offer 705 hp for right around $45,000.

You get a single-cab F-150 XL for the money, fitted with a Roush TVS supercharger and your choice of cloth or vinyl seats. The whole idea is to make a lot of power on a relatively small budget. Each truck sports the 5.0-liter V8 and a 3.73 rear-end along with the XL trim's standard features like a 12-inch digital gauge cluster and Sync 4 infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

I'm not a Ford guy but that's awesome.

Reminds me of the Yenko Cars back in the day.

These will be highly collectable.

Interesting. Some other manufacturer was doing this also. I believe Toyota. They are not releasing it here yet though.
They are offering a stripped down truck but with all the motor and such needed at a much cheaper cost.

Its infuriating that you have to order the top tier packages to get the high performance engines. All of the brands are guilty.

Manufacturers should let you spec whatever powertrain you want in a stripped down work truck if you so desire.

Yep, if it fits, it should be available. "Custom" orders have become color, interior, and choice of two wheels.

Agreed
The only one that does something like that is the Colorado trail boss. Spartan interior but all the off-road upgrades that the ZR 2 has

I wouldn’t because I have no need for a single cab truck but the idea is cool.

Single cab trucks are pretty much the de facto standard pickup truck.. i can sort of understand someone saying they ‘have no need for a double cab’ truck or something, but otherwise ur statement makes no sense .

Cool idea but I always end up being underwhelmed by the installation and tuning quality on these.

It is Toyota and it’s only $10k. Probably has a 4 cylinder and 200 HP or so though. Definitely know where near the 700 HP in the OP’s Ford.

Even though the ford comes with 700 HP, a $45k single cab p/u is a little pricey opinion.

The stripped down trucks these days have as many features on them as the higher end packaged trucks from 10-15yrs ago. Sure you don’t get the bling rims, and nicer seats, but pretty much all the other features are there.

No trans upgrade needed? Not even cooling?

None mentioned anywhere.

3/4 ton with 4x4 and crew cab should come in at the same price. Would be much more useful.

Seems that most in this thread do not understand what a sleeper truck is?

It's not a stripped down, no frills cheap truck. It is what APPEARS to be a stripped down, no frills cheap truck that happens to be pushing 700hp

You can get a shite ton of horsepower out of any of these V8s, it's just you would potentially significantly degrade the life of the engine
