Anyone have any experience with the B Hotel on Canal in NOLA

Yeah they call it a B Hotel but I would grade it a D. Maybe a D+.

What are you looking for? B on Canal is a decent hotel and the "off season" rates are usually really good.
I prefer Loft 523 but most might consider it more a couples getaway hotel.

Definitely avoid the NOPSI .... Total shite show last time I stayed there.....

not for me, coworker asked me if I knew anything about the place. I was just looking for reviews here to pass on to her.
where is Loft 523? is it a safe walk to the Dome or FQ? I usually stay at La Pavilion for the Saints games.

Elaborate please, was actually looking at the NOPSI for an upcoming work conference. It's one of the hotels included in Chases Luxury Collection and comes with a few perks. What was bad about it?

I usually stay in the WHD if I want to be "downtown". frick staying on Canal.

Kind of surprised. NOPSI is a pretty nice hotel in a good location.
It is sort of a "scene" place almost like the Ace so maybe that's what he means.

I agree. The rooftop bar is awesome and the lobby bar and little patio seems really nice as well. Never heard of anyone having problems with the place.

I think what he means by shitshow is that its crazy crowded with a lot of young types.

Probably so.
There are a shitton of hotels within a mile or so of the area of the B Hotel. If there is any question about if it would be ok, just stay somewhere else.
