I enjoy aspects of it. I hate that my job exists because it's really just consulting on how to do things efficiently, appropriately and legally BUT I am glad I have it. The worst thing about my job is being caught in the middle of people in a power struggle or people so damn caught up in the corporate ladder that they will support, train and deliver inefficiency for the sake of what they feel is job security and we often butt heads.

Yes, and in retrospect, I’ve done really well for both my partners and for myself.

Being largely in control of my situation for the past couple of decades has been wonderful. I’ll never work for a traditional “boss” again.

I’m not always the smartest guy or the wisest guy in the room, but sometimes I’m the smartest, wisest guy in the room. And that’s OK from a validation perspective.

And no one out-“cares” me.

So I get a lot of satisfaction from what I do.

The money and the perks ain’t bad either.

(Insert itsgoodtobetheking meme here)

Nice question, as I don’t usually ever reflect on this question.

No. I hate the work I do, actually.

But it pays well, I have tons of leeway and flexibility as long as my jobs getting done which means a great work/life balance, a great management structure, and my teammates are good people.

Every time I think about leaving it changing roles I stick around for those reasons. I just need to work on being content with what I have.

So there's no in between? The interwebs say that 45% of people hate their jobs and the rest are ok with there jobs but just a small percentage love their job.

I've been in the "i'm satisfied" with my job since joining management 25 years ago. There was a time where as a programmer I loved it. But have had less and less time for any creative work over the years. Then it's just a paycheck.

Wife will tell anyone that listens that she loves her job as a nurse. It fits her well as she gets to help people improve their lives daily.

Most days I really enjoy my job. The money is great too so that obviously helps.

I enjoy what I do. Many of the lazy fricks I work with make it difficult to do it effectively or put my very best into it, because they wait until the last minute to give me what I need.

My job is one that I am eligible to teach at the high school level as part of elective focus (career path) but I have turned down 2 chances to do so as it doesn’t pay as well (even when you prorate in getting the time off in the summer)

I’m currently considering a complete change. I’ve spent 31 years in my field; while I occasionally get chances to do creative things, much of my work becomes redundant in nature.

My job isn't fun or anything like that, but I legitimately enjoy where I work. I just posted in Mud Bone's thread about this, and ever since leaving my previous shite job where I worked for 15 years and ended up getting fricked over by management who literally tried to get me fired, and coming over to this new job (different office, same department) I am truly happy and content. In fact, I am currently turning down a management opportunity because I am so content with where I am at the moment. It's so nice waking up every day and not absolutely dreading going into work, and going to a job where I am valued and appreciated. It's an awesome feeling.

I enjoy it. Most of it anyway. Some days are harder on the body than others but overall I’m happy to come to work. Electrician

I love my job and my coworkers. I’m in a white collar role at a plant and I work 12’s. I also enjoy my 3 day weekends.

Yes I do. Ever since I was a kid I liked boats and drawing, I use to draw boats for hours on end. Now I'm a marine designer and do mostly military boats with some commercial work and I enjoy it very much.

Most days, yes. But like any job, there are periods of inexplicable dumbassery that makes it suck.
