UPDATE!!!Shark fishing on a crowded beach?

Is it just me or is it a major dick move to be casting a pork loin on a hook as big as my hand on a beach where families are hanging out and swimming?
2 baws are just fishing away out here with mine and their kids swimming. I'm just gonna drink more beer and keep my mouth shut. Hate to get my arse whipped at the beach
UPDATE:fish on!!!!fish on!!!! Must have hung Moby dick. Nothing but drag right now. I'll keep you posted

You already have plenty of live people freely bating the area as is. So just cause you toss a large piece of meat out there is not your problem.
The sharks are already around where the people are. People just live in a bubble and think they are way off

fricking pisses me off. I took a photo of some dipshiat literally casting among people just the other day. I was hoping he'd catch a treble hook in the nuts.

I fish out there with them, so I have skin in the game. Had a few nurse sharks steal some trout off my stringer, so that can be a little unnerving. Scariest time was when I’m out there and heard some screaming, and behind me was a 10 ft hammerhead that had beached himself behind me, and I’m wading towards him to get back to shore, while he’s trying to get back off the beach. All that being said, sharks rarely bother anyone, they hate the taste of humans, it’s just when they are confused, they’ll sample things….Im fine with people fishing, if not, we move on down a bit…

It’s kind of a dick move but I doubt it’s putting you or your kids in any danger. Sharks are usually terrifyingly close to beach swimmers anyway. Hell, if anything maybe he’s attracting them farther away from you and your kids.

This is yet another reason I don't go to the beach even when I am "at the beach". I don't have these problems on the balcony.

Only if your kids could get caught in the hook or whatever. Seriously doubt they're bringing more sharks in by fishing. Shark are already there.
