Went to Buc-ee’s for the first time today

Stopped at the one in Auburn, AL. I think I saw Jaxton and Braxton celebrating their travel ball win in there
It’s a great store.. food was average.. nowhere to eat with tables. I’ve always enjoyed eating bbq standing up. Makes the bbq experience different.
For the life of me I don’t understand the cult hype for this brand.
However, I did try out their Beef Jerky and all the ones I tried out were pretty solid. Similar to the Great Value brand from Wal-Mart
I couldn’t believe how many people were getting their pics made in front of their logo for their instagrams. Thought that was odd.
Checked out their bathrooms and it was an oversized QuickTrip bathroom. Don’t understand the hype about their bathrooms. Next time, I’ll try to take a dump and post my experience about that.

It's always wild that people expect it to be some sort of Michelin rated restaurant. For a stop on a road trip, it blows every other place out of the water.

I have nothing against Bucees. For a gas station the food is pretty decent. I just dont have the desire to stop anymore and add 45 minutes to my trip when im ready to be at my destination. There are wayyyyy to many options for my kids to sort through in that store when all i want to do is get to Destin.

I understand if it’s for a concert, sporting event, etc.. but I don’t understand it for a gas station

With guaranteed decent snacks and clean bathrooms. Anyone with daughters can appreciate the bathrooms alone.

when I'm on a road trip I don't want to spend an hour getting gas, if I want a nice meal and a rest I stop at a nice restaurant

I stopped at this location last Saturday, Sporting my LSU hat on that LSU/Auburn Gameday. Anyhow, I enjoyed using the clean restroom, grabbing a drink, and packing up my go to BLT sammich. Filled up the gas tank, and grabbed a bag of ice.
In and out in about 25 minutes. Place is a zoo inside, but if you stick to a plan, you can get in and out quickly.

I pass 3 of them on my way to hunting lease and have started avoiding them for this reason.. Too many fricking people.. But if I gotta take a shite, it's gonna be at a Bucee's..

They're great later in the evening when the crowd is gone.
The one here stopped serving food after like 11 or 12 though, which really fricking killed the attraction of stopping there. It was nice to be able to get a sliced sausage sandwich or brisket late at night.
And that's another thing, bring back the fricking sliced sausage sandwiches damnit!
