With the potential third indictment of former President Donald Trump focused on the possibility he sparked an “insurrection” to challenge President Joe Biden’s election, legal experts are growing more confident that the goal is to block the Republican from serving a second term.

Unlike the other two indictments, the expected third is linked to the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riots and certification of Biden’s election, and allegations that Trump incited the violence inside the building.

If that leads to just one conviction, the insurrection clause in the 14th Amendment written to ban Confederates from serving in office could trigger a ban on Trump taking any office again, even if he is chosen as the next president on Election Day 2024.

“The Democrat’s end game is the 14th Amendment. Section three says if you've been under oath to protect the Constitution, if you engage in an insurrection, you can no longer serve in federal office. This is the end game,” said Jed Babbin, a federal legal expert.

“If he is convicted of that, he cannot be president again,” added Babbin, the conservative grader for the weekly White House report card, published on Saturdays.

Mark Levin, the former Justice Department chief of staff, author, and talk radio giant, agreed. He told his audience last night that special counsel Jack Smith is pushing to indict Trump soon so that a trial will be done before the election.

“Do you know that the Department of Justice, this prosecutor, and the Democrats have a plan for making sure he never serves one second in office?” he said.

“You know what it is? Section three of the 14th Amendment. That's their plan,” he said, adding, “They're going to say he cannot be sworn in because he was convicted of one count of wire fraud or obstruction or something related to January 6. He's an insurrectionist.”

They are f’ing petrified of him.

Personally, I’ll never forgive him for not truly draining the swamp. He actually seemed to have added to it with the malcontents he kept on staff and in director level roles.

For sure. I have never seen the filth so scared of a single man and it makes you wonder, why? He holds no office, has no official political power, and was obviously partially neutered by the filth when he was in office.

What does he know and what do they think he will do that causes such havoc in those mentally ill, anti-American, treasonous minds?

Can’t be.

Kennedy said they want Trump as the candidate. Oh and Clay Travis, and all the other idiots who believe that.

I cannot speak for anyone but myself, but I am not remotely afraid of him.

I just think that he was a complete frickup and failure as POTUS and see no reason to give him a second bite at the apple.

Jack Smith has a track record for going 0-9 before the Supreme Court.

Do you even have the slightest sense of how hard it is to find people that aren’t swamp creatures?

Makes perfect sense. Its why they immediately started shoving the word insurrection in everyones face after the peaceful protest.

This sounds correct, and adds even more reason for the fallacious and immoral charges, convictions and media coverage

Especially in light of the aggressive nature of bum rushing the capital during the Kavanaugh nomination

If this is truly their plan and what actually ends up happening, there will be a shitstorm the likes this country hasn't seen since the Civil War.

It'll make January 6th look like the Sunday afternoon BBQ picnic it basically was

I guess if you HAVE to come up with a “most likely” reason for such, I suppose that as good as any. Theoretically speaking.

Realistically speaking, on the other hand, despite having shown us over and over and over again how impotent they are with actually carrying out all the previous hairbrained schemes they’ve attempted, this one seems EVEN MORE unlikely, due even bigger moving parts, and more complex and unpredictable ones to boot. That and from all appearances they’ve only become even more birdbrained, weird, detached people.

If at gunpoint I were forced to make a bet of everything I own one either “they accomplished end goal” or “epic fail,” it wouldn’t take much thinking for me to go the latter.
