I remember the good ole days when towns had competing papers. One with a liberal editorial board and another conservative. Usually morning and evening papers.

There was a time when NYC had not one but TWO competing conservative papers. And I’m not including the NY Post.

I recall when CNN ran Crossfire with commentators on the right and left and Meet The Press had George Will and Koki Robert's.

Why did news outlets just dispense with the idea of presenting different perspectives?
