A cop died in the line trying to protect the Capitol.

There's about 60 or 70 cops that die in the line of duty each year. Giving each one a few days will likely keep our flag at half-mast most of the year.
He'll get a honorable funeral, and hopefully the person/people involved will be brought to justice.
