re: confederate jasmine not growing

Posted by GCTigahs on 6/5/24 at 10:22 pm
I planted 3 in their own rectangular pot last summer up against a fence for them to climb and cover. I put them in the pot so I could use the weedeater around them and the fence and not damage the plants. They did well into this spring then suddenly wilted although the weather was perfect. I th...

Saw that new cartridge for the first time when I went to buy some refills of the older ones. Damn sure hope they don’t transition to these new ones 100% and I have to replace the old Thermacell units I have. ...

I understand your frustration and thought the same thing until someone pointed out that Laura Trump is now the co-chair of the RNC so I feel slightly better with her possibly handling the purse strings. ...
You should not be shoving the knife towards your hand but pushing it away from you.
Funny you say that. I’ve done the same thing as Bapple. Once you have your generator running and all of your breakers are off, start by flipping just the AC breaker first. Set the thermostat as low as you can so it’s not stopping/starting constantly. Check the load on your generator as you flip breakers on other items...

re: Privacy hedge in large planter

Getting back on topic….as far as the jasmine goes, if you bought one of those galvanized raised bed planters, you could put a trellis or two in there to let the jasmine climb up the fence and under plant around it with some color like petunias or something that spills over the planter box. Depending...

Absolutely. She’s also having the same issues with leaves in her pool. But I’m also trying to minimize our future headaches when it falls. Also she’s having some huge erosion problems with her pools decking since no grass is growing on the slope between the tree and her pool. I understand her desire...
Looks like you will lose some fence and the neighbor will have the rear of her home impacted.
Backstory on that fence. Her ex put a 6ft privacy fence in prior to us buying our house. My neighbor behind me to my east has a dual trunk water oak that’s shedding leaves right now like it’s fall. We’ve been here since 08 and have never seen it do this. A little back story…we put in a pool and pool house the last couple yrs. We had to remove a live oak for our project. The arborist...
