Interesting thing mentioned in the article - Tea Party was at its peak in about 2012... we ended up with a reboot version of Newt (who was really just grifting) and Santorum as the alternatives to Romney :yack: once Cain faded into obscurity

The "base" of the Tea Party was completely full of shite and really just acting out at the end of the day. So many of them became MAGA which has nothing to do with fiscal restraint....
