re: Wish Pinehurst #2 would step up

Posted by bstaceyau19 on 5/17/24 at 10:51 pm
It's all in the pin placements at Pinehurst. there is no rough in a real sense there, and even when there was before the restoration, the USGA didn't grow it to US Open norms. On most of the greens there, the pins are either rather easy or brutal....
I'd like to see how you'd play on an ankle held together by spit and bailing wire. Dude has won 15 majors, 82 tournaments, and 3 US Ams. if anyone has earned a lifetime exemption, its him. Honestly, the best thing he could do next year is get a cart and play the Champions Tour. He could do...
It has already hosted a Ryder Cup. USA won that one.
Ok, time for me to hit the coffee. My bad. :) i cannot believe I forgot that....
ESPN reported that the owner of Valhalla is the one who picked Scottie up from the jail. Gives a good indication of how bad PD fricked up here. They'll probably try to save face by waiting until tournament is over but all charges will surely be dropped here. Cop will probably quietly be suspe...
[link=(https://x.com/JeffDarlington/status/1791465931048124605)]LINK[/link] Scottie's statement. ...
Scottie is either shooting 62 or 82, depends on how his pissed off golfer persona operates....
Scheffler clearly didn’t know the fat frick was a police officer. What a joke. This is exactly why people can’t stand cops in 2024. By and large, the bad ones make it tough to give them the benefit of the doubt. They are generally douche bags. Rah rah traffic cop!
And the cop...
Valhalla is definitely off the regular rotation for the PGA Championship because the Louisville Police apparently cannot walk and chew gum at the same time....
The big sticker on the side of the car saying "PGA championship Official Car" wasn't enough for this knucklehead cop to put 2 and 2 together....
The big business folks have a way better chance of navigating this dynamic than the players have of structuring a multibillion dollar financial transaction between international entities. The chance of Jordan Spieth and Patrick Cantlay figuring out how to do that is effectively zero.
...
None of the players have anything close to the experience with complex international transactions that will be required to merge the two tours. Knowing a lot about playing golf doesn’t make one competent in the sports business arena.
Yes, but on the other hand, the big business guy...
Also highly dependent on the Saudis eventually wearing down or running tired of spending money. Not sure that will happen.
The Saudi's want to make money and hobnob with the world's billionaires who own sports franchises. That means the Arthur Blank's and John Henry's of the world...
That’s obviously not going to happen. LIV will continue to pluck some of the best talent away from PGA Tour - they just need to offer more $ than player’s “equity” in PGA Tour Enterprises.
They might get a few other guys to trickle in over time, but I think the massive moves are do...
How the hell does Monahan still have a job
They seem to be staggering the exits piece-by-piece. Instead of letting everyone go responsible for that debacle at once, they are letting them exit over time on their own terms. It wouldn't surprise me to see Monihan "retire" sometime i...
I'm sure the Saints leaked that to Jazzy Jeff but he passed on that story.
No, Fox 8 was doing a story about hundreds of millions of dollars of uncollected traffic camera ticket revenue in the City of New Orleans and they saw his name on the list of the largest offenders....

The LIV guys would have a better argument about rankings if the events had 72 holes. If they moved to that, it would take one point of contention away from their detractors. ...
They said during the CBS broadcast that Zurich is about to do a long-term extension on their sponsorship, and that there was record attendance this week. They also had 5 of the top 15 golfers, as opposed to this week in Dallas who only have 1. I think it's a valuable event for Zurich. They ca...
Doesn't matter what anyone wants. What we'd get is 1 mid-level draft pick, probably 3rd, 4th, or 5th round. The buyer has all the leverage in NFL trades, since usually the seller is dealing out of necessity....

re: Taysom Hill to the Broncos?

Posted by bstaceyau19 on 4/30/24 at 2:50 pm
Hoener is done. Drafting Rattler did him in. Peterman/Mond were signed probably as a camp body and later practice squad emergency QB. My guess is that if Carr goes down, then whoever the backup that week is comes in. If Carr remains out in subsequent weeks, Taysom Hill gets the start. He i...
