I went in 2005. First and only US Open I've attended. Compared to Augusta, it's the total opposite: Nothing pretty about sandhills and pine trees. If it's dry, prepare for dirty nose boogers. And it's so packed. Way too much for me. ...
I'm not trying to be a smart arse, but they play so damn slow. How is it worth it? I saw Dead & Co twice in the last 9 years and it was just - sooo - sllllowww. I respect who they are and what they do, but Bob plays at a snail's pace....

I've lived in Charlotte for the last 25 years, except for 3 years in Raleigh. Love both, but Charlotte is my home. Wake County (Raleigh) is more populated than Mecklenburg County (Charlotte). Raleigh is NOT 15 yrs behind Charlotte. Charlotte metro is bigger, but that's it. Raleigh is more t...

I compare guitar playing with basketball. I've played for 35 years, but very rarely I play w/ others... so it's like shooting free throws. You can get good, but it's not basketball. Then I bought a looper pedal 5 years ago and my skill have jumped dramatically. It's like comparing shooting free t...

re: Beatles or Stones?

Posted by 053wab on 5/8/24 at 12:34 pm
I respect both. Beatles were a game changer. Stones have longevity (My only Stones show was in 2021- MJ was like a 30 yr old out there). But I love the Stones more. Esp the Mick Taylor years. Hell I even love Emotional Rescue. ...

That dude is just fricking magical. I've never gotten into a musician, who's still alive and in their prime, like Billy. I've gotten so much better at guitar because of that dude. I play Doc Watson, Tony Rice (not that good though), and now Seldom Scene's Wait a Minute. Here's hoping he'll be b...
