You see a lot more requirements for higher octane due to higher compression and lower displacement.
In addition, every manufacturer is trying to run as lean as possible to lower emissions.
Lastly, everybody is using thinner and thinner engine oils ( even 0wt) due to super-close internal manu...

Not in a graphic way, and not always in 6 seconds, but the thoughts occur.

For Techron ( or any good additive) to work effectively it must be used on a consistent basis.
The amount of detergents in the fuel are miniscule, but are very efficient when used consistently.
I think manually adding Seafoam would likely be more expensive than just using the better ...

I guess my larger concern is all of our crack, highly-trained TSA agents and high-dollar screening equipment letting ammo get through on a carry-on....

Chevron w/ Techron is the best fuel you can buy, and not just for high-performance engines.
No injector failures, no throttle-body cleanings, not hesitation; it just works.
Well worth the small increase in price over the discount brands....
