Teams don’t want their young pitchers to have drastic IP increases from one year to the next. Skenes threw 130 innings last year. Their goal for him this year is probably around 160. If he was an everyday starter in the majors opening day he’d blow by that. They’re trying to avoid a Strasburg or Jo...

This is such a stupid fricking excuse. It’s college baseball. All the great players are gone after 3 years. You have a total roster turnover every 3-4 years. You’re going to have to replace a bunch of players every year.
The real problem is the absolute shite show that has been high school recruit...
