I personally don’t like to use hose end sprayers to apply herbicide. It’s too difficult to control the amount of product you are putting down. That’s a personal preference. But if it’s worked for you in the past then I don’t see a reason for you to stop.
I dont grow any food in my garde...
2007 vs Florida is easily the best one I’ve ever been to in person. Honorable mention, 2008 vs Troy. Stayed the whole game. Had a blast!...
What does everyone use for weed control in gardens
Thick layer of pine straw mulch and hand pulling. Very rarely do I have to resort to chemical control. If I do it’ll be with sethoxydim for invading grass, or very carefully administered glyphosate for everything else. St...
I will never forget the night I got home from work and my golden retriever comes running out the door to greet me with glue traps stuck all over his head
 Our cat stepped on one in the middle of the night one time. You should’ve heard that ruckus. I jumped out of bed so f...

Dang y’all stuff is looking beautiful! I need to get in the garden this week. I’ve been so busy with work and other stuff that I’ve kinda neglected it the last week. I do have some blueberries starting to come in, and I picked my first few tomatoes yesterday. I’ll try to get some pic...

I always spray my house liberally with fipronil this time of year. Especially around vents and lights. There's the added benefit of not seeing a single other bug in the house for months....
Some of y’all need to touch some grass....
How have you managed your romas in the past? I read don't worry with pruning or suckering. But it turns them into little dense bushes. And how long do they dump fruit? I've not messed with determinates until this year.
I only really prune branches that are touching the ground. And...
Not seeing a lot of bees this year
Other than my own honeybees, which are flying right over my garden , same. Bumble bees are typically the work horses in my garden and I haven’t seen any yet. However, I’m hoping that changes soon. The flag has been raised! And more to c...
Between $10-$20. I’ve had more expensive wines and honestly can’t tell much difference....

Looks great! Sethoxydim will kill the bermuda in your beds without harming your plants. That’s if you don’t mind using chemicals. I’ve resorted to it before due to a pretty bad takeover and it worked very well. ETA: I’ve been kinda slacking on looking after my garden lately. The wife and k...
Any idea what’s after the strawberries?
Slugs and/or snails more than likely. They're more active at night so you may not see them during the day. I get fruit like that often. As it gets warmer I find myself getting more and more bad strawberries. Sometimes I'm throwing about h...
I purchased the combo this week, haven’t cut my grass in 7 days, Bermuda is showing itself well. Plan to spray today as long as weather holds out.
Please update this thread when you start seeing results. Hopefully this stuff becomes more readily available in the c...
You guys that grow garlic, what’s your process after you pull it up?
Pretty similar to onions. Pull them and lay them in a shady spot for a couple of weeks to cure. I didn’t grow garlic this past fall. But last year I laid them under my patio and put a fan on them for a couple o...

I’ve used this method with some success. But instead of cutting a hole in the water bottle I drilled 5/32” holes in the cap so that bees couldn’t get in. [embed]https://youtu.be/xwIOb5FjY30?si=vOV3dea4TjGyQN1k[/embed]...
