Vandy and Northwestern raise the academic standing of their conferences, it's fun to go a road game in Nashville or Chicago and know your team has a good shot of winning and they give everyone a break from the meat grinder of the Big 10/SEC schedule. It would be kinda sad if those schools got yarded...

There's a live version of Up on The Ladder - it's from a gig a few years before when In Rainbows came out - that's a top 10 Radiohead song for me. (It helps that the song has a Doctor Who reference) In their heyday, Oasis had some great B-sides - Acquiesce, The Masterplan. Those tunes could have sl...

I did it once - saw Wilco at the Saenger one night, then saw them at Jazz Fest the next day. It was a pretty different experience between seeing them in a theatre vs. playing outdoors in the daytime. I think they switched up the set list quite a bit. I'm not a jam band guy, but I would be open to...
Tramonte's in BR does not get mentioned much on here. I think they have some pretty good stuff.
Keeping a box of Tramonte's frozen hamburger patties in the freezer is great for a throwdown midweek dinner or an impromptu barbecue. shite, now I know what I'm going to cook this weekend...
Look at the big programs playing big week one games - Georgia-Clemson, Penn State-West Virginia, Florida-Miami, Notre Dame-Texas A&M. Nothing wrong with LSU being in that category. No reason for us to be scared of anybody. ...
Aren't their shows extremely loud?
I saw them at Tipitina's 30 years ago and my ears rang for days. Although when I saw them at the Varsity 15 or so years ago, they were loud, but not painfully loud. ...
When the Raiders were on Hard Knocks, there was a great looking woman in her mid-30s-early 40s who was around him. Thought they said she was his wife...

Seems like there’s one of these stories every year, about a rookie stinking it up at OTAs and turning out fine. Didn’t Chase have a bunch of drops early on in his first camp with the Bengals? Or some good young QB looked awful during his first practice - like C.J. Stroud? ...

It was kind of wild. Before, they had all kinds of unique sauces, barbecue rubs (even had Meat Church products). Every time I went, they would have more and more items. Now, they had about half of that. But if you wanted some Air Force Ones in Mardi Gras colors, you were set. ...
Russell T Davies was in charge of the show from 2005-2010. He’s back. Steven Moffat wrote most of the best episodes of the show from 2005-2010, then took over from 2010-2017. He’s back - wrote a strong episode two weeks ago and he’s doing the Christmas episode. It’s a hell of a lot more like...

I’m a big fan of Bergeron’s. The plate lunches and smoked boudin are great. Cutrer’s is at the Main Street Market every Saturday. Their smoked pork sausage is my go-to for beans, gumbo, jambalaya, etc. https://www.cutrers.com/ Iverstine’s is good, albeit a little pricey. The Meatatory in Prair...
It features a mad man with a blue box that’s bigger on the inside. He uses it to travel through time and space. He’s accompanied by an attractive young woman from the contemporary UK. And he works with a UN agency when he’s on earth. That sounds like Doctor Who to me, but what do I know?...
They’re filming the 25 season now and writing scripts for the 26 season. It’s fine. It’s a cash cow for the BBC and Disney is pushing it. And if it goes off, they’ll reboot again it in 15 years. I’ve watched the show for 40+ years. The only thing I’ve been obsessed with longer is LSU football ...
I like it so far. The writing is so much better. It’s been Disneyfied a tad too much for my taste, but at least it’s made by people who get the show. I think Ncuti Gatwa is great, but he doesn’t have that alien quality the Doctor should have. But the show has changed a shitload over 60 years - it w...

It was an OK sequel to a great movie. There was so much crazy original stuff in Fury Road and this was just showing that to you again. (They show clips from Fury Road during the end credits and man, that just reminds you which is the superior movie) Anya Taylor-Joy was better in it than I thought sh...

I was unemployed when that album came out, so I didn't get a copy of it until a year or two later. I liked Pretty Noose when it came out, but it's kinda hard to listen to now - half the time I skip that one. Rhinosaur is a great song. It's a solid album, but it's no Badmotorfinger or Superunknown....
