Eh I disagree with this. Dominant mindset is only good for overcoming self-doubt and low self-esteem. Barring that situation, a player must respect his opponent and realize that technique plus rigor & no-quit relentlessness is what wins the day. Otherwise, people think all they got to do is show up and disrespect their opponent and they will win. It's a great way to get your teeth knocked out by somebody you thought you were going to whip.

Where was that dominant mindset at Notre Dame?

I would like to feel good about this video, and he’s a good coach up north, but the guy just doesn’t sound genuine with the things he says. He knows what people would expect him to say; knows a few good coach-speak lines to say on camera, but I just don’t get any sense of realness from Brian Kelly down here. He’s just like “well they’re payin me ridiculous money to sound like a good coach so let me say these good ol coach speak lines in my Boston accent.” The team doesn’t look like they’re ready to get after it and to actually dominate to me. I don’t see any fire from the coach or the team yet. I hope that changes.

I feel inspired now. I’ll go do something productive today instead of playing on this phone.

Hype videos are irrelevant to the outcome. My sense (and hope) is he’s building a football program based on fundamentals. The fundamentals will win you games. Not hype videos

No, seriously though, new LSU AD Scott Woodward really knows what LSU fans want. He's assembled the best group of athletic coaches at one time that LSU has ever had in Mulkey, Johnson, Wade, and Kelly. The fact that he was trying to hire former Okie HC Lincoln Riley shows how serious he is to his commitment of making LSU the best in any sport. Smh But I really like the Kelly hire too because this is a guy that won't back down from Saban, and he now has the LSU athletes to go after Saban and Alabama. It'll be nice and fun to watch it all unfold.
