Ole Miss starting quarterback Jaxson Dart spoke with reporters after the Rebels modified spring game this weekend and provided an update on his leg injury that has limited him in practice. Per SDS:

“I feel pretty close to 100 (percent),” Dart said Sunday after Ole Miss’ spring game. “I think it’s going to be a good period to have this May off to get the extra work that I need and kind of get back to the fundamentals of my game. Which I’m really excited for, to be back and doing that.”

Dart also commended Ole Miss’ training staff for helping him to get back to full-strength.

“I thought the training staff has done a great job with me,” Dart added. “They had a really appropriate and detailed plan which I thought, because of that, it’s gonna put me in a better situation come season time. A lot of times you’ll try to rush guys back when they’re not ready and that can lead to other injuries. So I thought the plan they created for me was great. I’m really excited for this summer (and) I’m really excited for this little break that we have coming up and being back 100%.”
Dart passed for 3,364 yards, 23 touchdowns, and five interceptions last season, leading Ole Miss to an 11-2 record.
