It will offset some. He has to take a salary aligned to the market, so 700-900k offset per year for 2 years.

They didn’t exercise his 5th year option. Probably hitting the FA market.

The #Jaguars are hiring Matt House as linebackers coach, per source. House is highly regarded around the league, having been the #Chiefs LBs coach from 2019-2021. He was most recently LSU’s DC the past two seasons as well, helping the Tigers post back-to-back 10-win seasons

Much better fit for nfl.

I’m convinced the scheme was way too complex to implement for the average college player with the restrictions of college time

Any team that looks at job he did with Harold Perkins last season and still wants to bring him in to coach linebackers.....

He is a much better nfl LB coach than a college DC… TM7 sang his praises while at KC

I remember that. As much as people like to point the finger at college coaches that fail in the NFL the reverse scenario seems to happen often enough as well. It's different having to coach raw talent vs a more polished player.

Would soften the blow...somewhat, but then again, I think of last year's defense and feel like he should forfeit last year's salary to LSU!!
