The city of New Orleans gets the government it deserves. Rich white liberals uptown living in a bubble, limp-wristed “conservatives” in Lakeview, and the majority of minorities incessant bitching about the city that’s run by—wait for it—other minorities. Rather than worry about the fact that violent crime runs rampant, or worry about funding an already understaffed police force that could aid in stopping crime, they would prefer to do a bunch of left-wing think tank mumbo jumbo like trans housing, because housing someone with a penis in a cell full of females because he identifies as a woman makes sense. fricking pathetic.

Leon Cannizzaro was the last best hope for New Orleans. People will bitch and moan about some of the things he did, but New Orleans was a tad safer under his belt. Sadly, there is too much scum for one man to work through. Now, we have a guy, who never worked in a prosecutorial role in his life prior to DA, in office who is awaiting trial for tax fraud.

In this case, I don’t think so. Hutson was heavily funded by left wing radicals to the tune of over a million dollars. That’s a huge amount of money for a local election. Her ads and flyers were non-stop, and they were full of lies and bs talking points.
The average voter is just too unsophisticated to understand they were getting played. I don’t think the majority of people who voter for her actually knew what they were voting for.

At this point the best thing that can happen is NOLA goes down in flames fast, and then we can get some common sense back in there. The big issue is how it affects the surrounding areas. Jefferson and st Tammany need to keep pushing away from New Orleans ans grown on their own.

What’s mind boggling to think about is, there are a good number of ostensibly successful white voters in New Orleans with the mindset of, what’s really holding the city back is that it hasn’t gone modern day coastal liberal ENOUGH.

Doubt it. They didn’t become liberal by being observant and reasonable. When crime hits them they will continue to just encourage more programs and handouts to the “oppressed” so they won’t have to turn to a life of crime
