Biden can also point to his son being on the Burisma board and getting paid 80 grand a month. Biden's reputation for Ukraine is way lower than whale poop

Who deserves to be on any board and get paid $80 grand a month?

The people on those boards are all like Hunter Biden or the Trump kids... they're there because they're in an elite class of society and that's who gets spots on boards like that, and hopefully, the chance of some favoritism for the companies when ears get whispered into...

That sucks, but it sucks completely all around, not just in this one cherry-picked instance.

I mean, how did Ivanka get 50 patents awarded to her in China (that beacon of Intellectual Property protection) and The Donald suddenly forget to label China as "currency manipulators" like he campaigned on?

Like it or not, Biden can use US support for this war as a very strong campaign advantage and Trump cannot. The White House would also present their 'control' over a potentially disasterous Europen-wide war as the mature alternative to their opponent. If the White House can gain some control over Netanyahu, Biden will look very strong on foreign policy. Trump has a lot of work to do to negate this.

This is laughable! Biden's foreign policy has been a disaster. From Afghanistan to Ukraine and the Middle East. Some of you people live in a fantasy world. Their "control" is a big reason Ukraine is in the mess it is now. Drip. Drip. Drip. All the while thousands of Ukrainians have died. 2022 was the time to reinforce Ukraine with what it really needed. Russia was on it's back foot. Russia has now got it's shite together compared to then. Escalation management has failed and if you are going to get involved at all it needs to be a strategy that wins.

I have read some delusional statements in this thread but this one tops them all.

Zelenskyy is a terrorist. He has nothing in common with the people of the country he was selected to rule over. If you support Zelenskyy you are evil.

What's worse is that after our MIC / Deep State coup was enacted, the people of Ukraine have not even had a chance to vote or input their thoughts into things. It's abhorrent and no true republic or democracy would treat its citizens this way.

This clown needs to be vetted by the people of Ukraine
There is zero reason why they can't hold an election.

I guess that is why 73% of voters in his country picked him using written ballots and no early voting with multiple international observers?

1. It wasn’t a coup.

2. There have been 2 elections in Ukraine since then.

and the Trump businesses have been funded by Russians since people here stopped lending him money in the early 2000s.

The HILL: "Eric Trump in 2014: 'We have all the funding we need out of Russia'"

”I said, ‘Eric, who’s funding? I know no banks — because of the recession, the Great Recession — have touched a golf course. You know, no one’s funding any kind of golf construction. It’s dead in the water the last four or five years,’” the writers told WBUR.

“And this is what he said. He said, ‘Well, we don’t rely on American banks. We have all the funding we need out of Russia.’ I said, ‘Really?’ And he said, ‘Oh, yeah. We’ve got some guys that really, really love golf, and they’re really invested in our programs. We just go there all the time.’”

ISW Update

quote:

Key Takeaways:

Russian forces continued to make tactically significant advances north and northeast of Kharkiv City on May 13 and currently appear to be prioritizing the rapid establishment of a "buffer zone" along the international border over setting conditions for deeper penetrations into northern Kharkiv Oblast.

Russian forces' relatively rapid rate of advances in Vovchansk and their reported destruction of several bridges across key waterways within the settlement suggest that Russian forces are prioritizing the creation of a "buffer zone" over a deeper penetration, as ISW previously assessed they would.

Newly appointed Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu participated in his first Security Council meeting as secretary on May 13, amid continued reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin is focusing on mobilizing the Russian economy and defense industrial base (DIB) to support a protracted war in Ukraine.

Putin's decision to remove Shoigu from the Russian MoD appears to have also opened the door for the departure of certain Shoigu affiliates from the MoD, likely one of the intended effects of Putin's recent cabinet reshuffles.

Ukrainian forces reportedly conducted successful missile strikes against a Russian air defense base in occupied Crimea and successful drone strikes against Russian energy infrastructure in Russia.

Russian forces recently made confirmed advances near Lyptsi and Vovchansk in northern Kharkiv Oblast.

The Russian military may be intensifying efforts to recruit conscripts through the Russian Volunteer Society for Assistance to the Army, Aviation, and Navy of Russia (DOSAAF) as part of ongoing crypto-mobilization efforts.
