I own three Silverado’s with the 5.3. My sons drive the other two. One is a ‘04 with 305,000 miles and the other is a ‘07 Sierra Classic with a little over 250,000.

2011 Toyota Highlander, 156k miles

6 CD player and dirty car from dog that travels with me, so not buying new anytime soon.

Runs beautifully but rear lift gate motor is done, just have to open and close manually.

Vehicles, particularly trucks and SUVs, crossed a threshold of what I'm willing to pay over the past 5 years or so. I could afford to pay it, I'm just not willing to. I have never paid more than 35k for an automobile
I honestly don't need 90% of the new stuff they're cramming in these trucks that's causing the prices to skyrocket. If I had my choice I'd have never gotten rid of my 92 F-150 that was as bare bones as it got - only thing I changed was putting in a cd player to replace the cassette .

I still hop in my old 2001 Expedition (143k) once or twice a week. It's bare bones pretty much. Cassette even still works and has an old Marty Robbins greatest hits in it I'll play for the boys when out piddling in a pasture or barn and having a few High Life's. And you're so right. All of the new features are just way too many. All I need is a dome light, cruise, decent stereo and cup holders really. My daily driver car has stuff I never use or think about all that much. Heated and cooled seats rock tho.

I live close to work so I don't have high mileage but we have a few trucks here at work that are very high mileage. 2017 silverado with almost 200k on it and a 2010 2500 silverado with close to 500k miles on it.

I’ve had it exactly 22 months. It’s shocking to see how little some people drive annually.

I’m 1.7 miles to work. It’s glorious.

09 F150 288,000. It looks like new except for an untimely tailgate scratch. Still going strong and will drive til it dies.
