If you had a time machine, would you prevent LSU from hiring coach O?

And for fun, let’s say either Aranda, Fuentes, or Fleck is the hire, but you can’t guarantee which one

It’s a tough call. He greatly set the program back, but if you do that you take away the possibility of something like 2019 happening, but not necessarily

I truly don’t know what I would do

No, 2019 was worth where we are now. And we now have Brian Kelly so I’ll take it

Yes with a good coach we would have been in playoffs every year with 1 or 2 championships

No. He brought us Joe, who led the greatest college football team of all time.

Now, O definitely mailed it in after 2019. But, for 2019, I wouldn't trade anything.

Of course not. 19’ was as good as it gets in the college football arena. Everyone was watching the show. Everyone knew this was something special. Must see TV at its finest. People will be talking bout that team for years .
Thanks again O.

2019 wasn’t just a Natty, it was quite possibly the greatest CFB team of all time.

I’m no fan of O, but I wouldn’t change a thing.

No, and I didn't really need to think about it either. Like him or not, he put together 2019.

You gotta be crazy. I would trade twenty 2021 seasons for one 2019. Best season ever!

Nope. We got the best college football team of all time, the best season by a QB of all time leading the best college offense of all-time, who won only the 2nd Heisman in school history and 1st in over 60 years. Had a ton of 1st round picks, including the #1 overall, who took his shite NFL team to the Super Bowl in only his 2nd season and became kind of a national favorite. Justin Jefferson brought the griddy from LSU that became the the most recognizable touchdown celebration maybe since the Ickey Shuffle as he had probably the best 1st 2 WR seasons in NFL history. Which may be surpassed by his LSU running mate Jamar Chase—who actually may break Jefferson’s record. And we won a Fiesta Bowl the year before for good measure.

However much credit or not you want to give Orgeron, it’s undeniable that the LSU football brand grew exponentially during his tenure. It’s cool to go to LSU. Yeah, we had a couple terrible seasons (by LSU standards—we still were right around .500), and it was definitely time for him to go. But now we’’ve got Brian Kelley for the next 10 years. Where would we be if Alleva had actually pulled Jimbo or Herman? Way worse than here, I promise you that.

His last 2 years sucked cock. But it was worth it a million times over.

Nope, I wouldn’t at all. He got us a Title and Burrow. Granted the last 2 years have sucked horribly bad, but I’ll trade that in for 2019. We also have Brian Kelly now. So all in all, everything worked out pretty nicely wouldn’t you say?
