We replaced all our coaches except one.

Running all new schemes.

Likely starting a transfer QB.

Don’t have 85 scholarship players.

There’s a good chance we lose

This is a huge game for us. BK and Co had a lot to fix across the board from nutrition & conditioning to tackling & assignment scheme. Also we are playing a team who has a game under their belt.

All the pressure is on us. Will the cream rise to the top? The answer is more times than not LSU has positively surprised it’s fan base. I have reason to believe this will be one of those seasons.

P.S. Watching all these games tonight with the exception of UT has me a little nervous. I want a fricking blow out W but I feel like I’m going to get an emotional roller coaster.

We will win but we ain't blowing them out. It will be a very tight game with some frustrating plays, but I think we win by one score.

I don’t think we have to worry about BK mouthing off to FSU fans like Coach O did to UCLA fans - totally different regime

If we want to get to 9-3, this is a must win.

then we hope there’s improvement throughout the year. This is an 8-4 7-5 type of team. Considering all the holes O left 8-4 would be a good year

I think this would send the bigger shockwaves out around the rest of CFB...

if we not only win, but:
1) look clearly superior in personnel
2) run mostly base, conservative schemes to get our feet wet, but still come across as dominant
3) take a few shots at big plays, and those pay off at a good percentage

I think the consensus is that Kelly is good, and LSU has vast potential to re-emerge, but that it will take time to happen. We "should" have our hands full with Fla State, especially since they've played and we haven't.
If we come out vanilla and smoke them, it will scare teams that we aren't as far away as they might have expected. Bama will take notice, and Jimbo might break out into cold sweats.
