First half:
Rating 109.2
10.4 yards per attempt
6.4 yards per carry
72 points scored

Second half:
Rating 68.4
6.6 yards per attempt
3.2 yards per carry
14 points scored (shut out the last two weeks)

For the record, the splits were similar in most of his games against average to bad teams last year as well. Pretty clear what’s happening here, and why those who really pay attention to this stuff have no faith in him or the Eagles model leading to any meaningful success.

He spent the second half of his past two games running clock. That should be considered.

Care to elaborate?

It mostly looks like the Eagles are molly whopping their opponents.

Eagles took their foots off the gas, each game they’ve slaughtered in the first half who cares about the 2nd

They lucked into a cheap, serviceable QB. What "model" ?

I think we are seeing WR might just be damn near as important as QB now in the nfl

Brady and Rogers struggle to score now with their crap units

Tua and hurts look very good with their elite receivers

Burrow gets chase and has an almost mvp seasons

Titans get rid of brown and can’t do anything offensively anymore

They were up big in week 2 and 3 so not such a great representation of the stats

Jalen Hurts average QBR over the last 3 games is 42, good for 25th in the league over that stretch. He’s 26th in QBR on the year on throws from the pocket, and 29th on obvious passing downs. And of course, he’s 30th in second half QBR.

It’s happening faster than I expected TBH

The Eagles do need to stop sleepwalking in the second half of games. That will bite you in the arse.

That being said, the Eagles have alot of new pieces this year, especially on defense so hopefully they continue to improve.

I look for the offense to get better as Hurts finally has some continuity at OC. With Mile Sanders and their OL they don't need Hurts to be elite to win. When he does throw he has one of the best receiving groups in the league.

Hmm. Another game where some of the best defensive minds in football just decided to not try and stop the opponent at the start.

Just wanted to update.

First Half
Rating 109.4
67.6% completion rate (164 attempts)
8.9 yards per attempt
4.8 yards per carry

Second Half
Rating 104.2
69.3% completion rate (75 attempts)
7.7 yards per attempt
2.5 yards per carry

Obviously none of the NFL DC's have checked tigerdroppings yet.

I tried to warn you baws, but nobody wanted to listen.

This style of offense just never holds up over an entire season. Teams figure out the reads, take them away and everything grinds to a halt.

320 yards and 4 TDs halfway into the 3rd quarter.

Titans need to use this TV timeout to get him figured out.

He's having some effectiveness mostly because of bad CB play from No 30 for Tennessee who's been burned twice by former Tennessee WR AJ Brown because he doesn't turn around to look for the ball. But No 30 did make a good play on the last pass defense, but yeah, if you force Hurts to pass keeping him from running, his passing is still suspect.

This thread always delivers. The weekly bump has quickly became an MSB tradition.
