Ever time I have a road trip that takes me through Baton Rouge on I-10 I end up getting stuck in the wrong place at the wrong time and extend my trip by an hour.

I’m pretty flexible with time this trip and can plan accordingly. Thinking about traffic not being too bad around lunchtime? Definitely will avoid anything after 3pm.

Thoughts and prayers

No later than lunchtime, going either way
Things start getting slow around 2pm and only get worse, both directions

Advice is moot point if there's wreck

Probably 10am ish. Not to mention if you have to get off the interstate you should be good. The thugs don’t start walking up until noon

Depending on the Friday if it is a holiday weekend or LSU game weekend if you not through BR in the morning be ready to be stuck in traffic.

Like someone else said that is your only hope BUT driving smoothly through BR is never a given!

Safe travels.

Are you coming from the west? If so, traffic on the bridge can start backing up as early as 11am

Between the hours of 1am and 5am I’d say.

Where are you coming from and where are you going? Probably less stressful to just bypass going through BR on I-10 entirely
