No sir. Had Wagyu in Japan at a place where they brought out different thin slices and you cooked it yourself over a flame in the middle of the table. Maybe a minute on each side. And I can still taste it today because it was the best piece of beef I’ve ever put in my mouth. So buttery.

Totally agree. Don't care for it.

He must have eaten Vietnamese farmed catfish. You are what you eat.
Went to a fish fry and they had bags of frozen catfish from Vietnam. Whispered to my wife... "Do not eat the catfish... I'll tell you why later"

Shrimp is better by itself, why are you wrapping steak with a cheap meat like bacon, and why are we now wrapping burgers in bacon
I tend to agree. I don’t mind bacon wrapped vegetables now and then, but I just don’t see the point in wrapping meat with more meat. Let the main dish stand on its own.

anything wagyu that isnt a steak done rare or medium rare is overrated.
and honestly, wagyu steak is overpriced for the amount quality increase of good prime.

This is probably the way to go and would love to try it this way.
I’ve had A5 a handful of times, all 4-6oz cuts, and while good, too buttery. I’ll take a prime ribeye over wagyu any day of the week. American and Australian is better when it comes to cuts imo, but still a little too fatty. I love the fat, don’t get me wrong (along with a good meat coma), but i enjoy eating an entire 12oz+ well seared/charred medium-rare prime steak more

I don’t even think that qualifies as wagyu

I’m ok with this. I love soup.
To tie this to the Thai Curry thread, Thai Curry is just soup when you think about it.

Agree. It's a practically tasteless fish that lends itself to seasoning or sauce
So they're like chicken tenders?
