Right on time, I am seeing a passing Rose-breasted Grosbeak. They rarely stay more than a few days. last year was the longest I have seen at 2 weeks.

If the rough is healthy, but short, I often prefer it. That is often the case at Oakwing and Links on the Bayou. The Fall can get dicey when the rough thins out letting the ball fall down to the ground. ...
