I have a camp there. last year the sac's came in the negreet around march 3rd. I was fishing this past weekend and went to my usual spots. on the texas side there is grass everywhere but no bait fish. and no sacs yet. don't know! The bass fishing was terrible too. It was 28 deg Sat morning and only caught 9 bass all day mostly on jerk bat and a few on 10-xd. 25 ft deep or so. going over to the camp again this weekend hopefully the wamp temp will bring them up closer. Nobody was fishing the chicken coop and blue lake. it's like the are still up north a bit. Water in six mile was dirty, but housen bay was crystal clear . You could see 5 to 8 foot down

Fished yesterday, put in at 6 Mile on Texas side. Launch was nearly packed. Must be spring break in Texas, never seen it this busy on a Thursday. Water temp was above 60 everywhere we went except the main lake. Caught around 20, only 4 keepers. Didn't see a lot of action from anybody else out there. Fished from 8:30-3:00. Buddy had a one eye lip bait and damn if he didn't catch a one eyed bass on it. Same eye on both gone, it was our first keeper.
