If I remember correctly part of the reason in addition to Elton John was they had Ed Sherrin(sp) that day as well and he absolutely had blown up in popularity the previous 6 months or so before JF.
Someone else pretty decent was playing around the same time as both of them as well ...

I heard they cut off ticket sales at a pretty low number for today. From the pictures I’m seeing, it doesn’t look bad at all.

Seems like a ton of flights have been cancelled out of Houston this morning.
I have some folks from out of country who had flights get cancelled and luggage is stuck on planes until lightning stops. That was there update an hour ago. The talk of flash flood warnings has the folks freaking out ...

re: Is Soros funding the Protests?
Posted by notiger1997 on 5/1/24 at 5:34 pm
I've seen Soros mentioned probably 1,000 on this board over the past few years, but I'm not sure I've ever seen a real credible news story tying him back to but may 5% of what it's said he's has financed.
I get that he's a rich shitty person, but damn, he must have the most well organized operat...

re: What are the pros and cons of HOA?
Posted by notiger1997 on 4/30/24 at 12:57 pm
I would lean toward normally wanting to be in a neighborhood with a HOA. I can't stand trashy people, so it would be nice to have some kind of oversight over these folks.
Moved into an older neighborhood and luckily, I live in an area with pretty good code enforcement from the parish, so nothing...

re: People who return their food everywhere they eat
Posted by notiger1997 on 4/26/24 at 11:00 am
I haven't had to send anything back in at least 20 years. Probably because I choose wisely with where I eat, but also due to me not dining with nimrods.
My old arse mother in law has had to send a few soups back for not being hot enough, but we don't dine out together all that much....
