Milazzo also frames the pitch very smoothly. I definitely think it affects how a home plate umpire calls balls and strikes

Sure Trav hits bombs, but with the wind blowing in, Millazzo was the better choice.

So when Florida sweeps should we have played Trav this weekend coming?

The way y’all talk travinski was letting every other ball past him. I don’t remember him being that much of a liability

You serious? He lets at least 3-4 by him a game seems like amd some of them are pitches over the plate

I can’t remember exactly when Jay made the switch in the season, but I feel like they basically split the season in half. Milazzo started the first half and then Travinski saved our asses at the plate and that was all she wrote. I love Trav, but we’re fooling ourselves if don’t recognize that he was getting cold at the plate and Milazzo is better defensively.

He gives you more at the plate than Milazzo gives you behind the plate. That’s just my opinion.

Brady Neal started the season as LSU's starting catcher

If Travinski is hurt then he had no choice. If Travinski is not hurt they better get his butt back in the batting order.

I agree he has gone cold at the plate the last few games but so has almost half the team. Heck there was people wanting tanks and crews benched before this game. Those people were idiots but they were there.

This specifically hasn’t been discussed enough though. Obviously his stops have been excellent, but he may have gotten us a handful of big strikes on close pitches.

100% I'm sure he's got a few strikes that he's hung on batters himself. hes been really a + framing behind the plate and I'm certain that has helped our pen. You can certainly see it. in addition to his defense

Neal started the first half of the season and Milazzo played very little. Trav won the starting job with his big bat. Theres no doubt Milazzo is better defensively but Trav isnt as bad as some of you guys make him out to be. If he was that bad he wouldnt have played as much as he did. He would have shared the DH duties with Beloso.
