If we get to monday, id be shocked if he doesnt give us 50 pitches

If we win the first and we have a lead in the 8th of the 2nd then I would think Jay would consider sending him out there to close it.

His name is on the white board. 100% chance he starts Monday, if needed.

I could see him closing game 2 for the last inning.

On two days rest?

If he sticks with the mlb starter schedule his throw day would be tomorrow. I’ve seen several dudes go an inning or two on their throw day in October. That’ll be his schedule in a few weeks, may as well get an early jump on it lol

No, that’s an$8 million bonus you putting at risk without prerequisite medical knowledge. If after all the recovery and strength testing on Monday and his parents and agent agree maybe 1 inning. Maybe

This is so freaking stupid. You act like throwing him on one days less rest will screw him up. You’d maybe have a point if he was pitching on 2/3 days rest the entire season, but this won’t freaking hurt him or his draft status. He’ll wait 10-14 days before he works out after all of this and he’ll be fine.

My understanding is college players can pitch up to 14 innings in a week, but they can't be on consecutive days. I think it's up to the coach and pitcher how they want to work that out!

2 days rest is pushing it. LSU needs to be prepared to make it through 2 games without Skenes. They just won two in a row this week without him.

Only way Skenes doesn’t make an appearance is if the series ends in 2 games. 3 days rest is short but it’s nowhere near unprecedented. You see 3 days rest in the MLB playoffs all the time.

Not playing Monday.

Floyd gets the win in game one.
Johnny Wholestaff gets us to the 9th in game two and Skenes comes in to send the Gaturds home.

Glorious!!!

Maybe. But if Cooper is ready, go with Cooper. Don’t mess with “our deal.”

He’s thrown about 250 pitches in less than a week. Asking him for more is not a smart proposition
