Hornady 140 grain interlock BTSP,
Sierra 140 grain game king BTSP,
Remington core lokt 130 grain.

Any traditional cup and core bullet will kill deer efficiently in a lot of different calibers.
If you are losing deer with a 270 win, it’s not the cartridge. Make sure your rifle groups that particular round well. If it does, than practice at shooting better.

Love those Hornady 140 BTSP- dropped a stag at 200+ yds dead in his tracks.

All my dad has ever shot out of his. Hell it’s what I typically shoot out of my 308.

Honestly 99.9% of people that hunt in Louisiana or Mississippi and most of Texas will never be faced with a shot longer than 200yds. And of those the majority of them will be less than 100. Ballistics in any modern rifle cartridge don’t matter at that range with whitetails.

You doing a western hunt? That’s a different story.
