If a woman was so determined to be a stay-home wife/mother that she got a degree in home economics, she might actually be really good at it. These days people know calculus but can’t budget or feed themselves.

Very true. At least with the home ec degree the woman could maybe scramble eggs and sew on a button

I think the problem is that our lifestyle and culture have changed too fast over the past 100 years. People are confused about their roles in their family and society as a whole. It’s like a free-for-all of bad behavior and getting what you can get. Both (all?) genders. Expectations are out of control.

Women lie to each other. They think they are worth more than they are. Sorry, but it’s true. 5s think they are 10s all the time. Fat is beautiful, etc.
Can your daughter cook? Does she want children? Is she overweight? What’s her body count?
Honestly, women don’t know what men value in a woman.
How can you be miss independent but want to be in a marriage? It doesn’t work like that.

You get the kids out of the house

You die

First, there aren't *that* many of these women in the first place.
Second those women aren't going to be just wandering out in the wild. Guys are smart, they know a good thing when they have it. These women get nabbed up in their early-mid 20s.

You are clearly from an older generation. That’s how it used to be. People in their late teens/early 20s today are dealing with a different world.

Secular serial "casual" dating and Hollywood styled relationships don't yield great fruit in the long term relationships department.
