There comes a point in time where one has to accept that some bodies are just fragile no matter what their build, or potential may be.

The reason why we have so many of these guys on the lines is b/c that's exactly the bodies we go for. Tall, huge, super athletic guys typically have bodies that can't support all that physical potential 100% of the time. It is what it is.

There's a reason why Turner, Davenport, Armstead, etc. were always hurt.

It's not a terrible strategy unless you start reaching for guys, which is the problem with Turner and Davenport. 3 first rounders spent and 1/3-1/2 games missed and no 2nd contract.

This is it. I don't think people hate Turner the person, it's the FO for their draft strategy.

From 2018-2023 (6 seasons of first rounders and I'm excluding the pick for Payton) we have Davenport, Ruiz, Olave, Turner, and Penning.

Is 50% a good mark for first round contributions?
