Los Angeles was reporting a few years ago a whole host of Third World diseases (typhoid, typhus, and bacteria resistant tuberculosis) that had been eradicated for many years in the United States. Guatemala had a dengue outbreak when I was there in July. Everywhere south of the US is pretty much under continuous risk of dengue outbreaks.

Louisiana with minimum of 13 different species of mosquitoes pretty much year round at risk....
Since we have pretty much become a desert in lack of rainfall not so much this year!
