Beat fit pro ear buds.
Home run.
They will lose them, but they will love you.
And if they are obnoxious with their phones.....you win too

I grew up on that blue Yamaha bike. The 15 year old might be a bit old to get excited this late in the game, but get that girl on one!

Seriously? Ulta sells everything girly. Shampoos, make up, hair accessories, skin care, hair dryers, curling irons, etc. They even have online shopping.
I shop there frequently and I always see moms there with their teen daughters. Girls love Ulta!

Where does that thought come from? Ulta wants your money. I had an 11 yr old girl virtually disintegrate my credit card at Ulta. That sh*t's expensive.

As for OP, she would love to choose a mini backpack from Hot Topic.

Experiences are a great alternative to gifts. How about giving the girl a spa gift card so that she and a friend can get manicures and pedicures together. For the boy, maybe he would like to take a friend to a basketball or hockey game and then go out for pizza afterwards.

I am selfish as frick so I want to get something out of it. Two premium tickets to a Saints game and make a day of it with the boy. 11 year old girl is harder, but a shopping spree and lunch at a girly place with just the two of you will make you a hero.

Bottom line, both of these gifts will get you a lot closer to each of them, something obviously really important if you are serious about their Mom.

EDIT
If you aren't serious about their Mom, cash 100% of the time.

Ask the mother and let her know what you're looking to spend if that's an issue.

My nieces send us a list with websites of what to get for each child and we pick what we want to give. It's a google doc, so when we buy something, we strike through the item, so it's not duplicated. I come up with some of my own gifts, but having a list of what the kids actually want or what the mothers want for them is handy.
