I don't follow, I just established that Washington's scoring defense was above-average and LSU's was basically as bad as their total defense. How on Earth does that highlight your argument and not help mine?

I did. Your own arguments are trying to tell me Washington actually had a worse defense because their schedule was much easier. The funny thing is you don’t realize what you’re actually doing

I’m very aware

When I say lsu had the 108th ranked defense and Washington had the 97th ranked defense, and your response is that Washington played an easier schedule, you do realize you’re saying LSU’s is better than it appears and Washington’s worse than it appears, right?

That's not what my argument attempted to tell you, my argument attempted to tell you that Washington's defense was better than LSU's in scoring defense while playing an easy schedule most of the way

You do realize I supplemented my point of Washington going undefeated playing a garbage schedule with how good their scoring defense was which I presume is what matters when it comes to, you know, actually winning games? I'm not falling for your gotcha, you can stop with the madness.

Why do you think their schedule being easier helps your argument that their defense was better?

I’m sorry you’re struggling to follow basic logic

The PAC 12 is pretty stout this year.

Washington beats Texas.

Arizona beats Oklahoma

Oregon beats a solid Liberty team 45-6.

5-3 in bowl games so far.

Because when you play easier competition, that naturally translates to a defense submitting above-average marks for scoring defense

Reciting some false religious sports catechism and bending the knee to a completely overstated and exaggerated position is not following "basic logic," it's falling for a gotcha game

UW has played the 2nd toughest schedule in the country.

Washington played the 13-14th ranked schedule until they played Oregon and Texas in December and January, LSU played the no. 1 schedule through the end of the regular season

We still think the SEC had dominant teams this year?

Old habits die hard. Very difficult for many to admit the 2023 SEC was the 2014-2022 Big Ten.

LSU played Grambling and Georgia State for their cream puff games while Washington played Boise State and Tulsa.

Probably...when you play the #6 team in the country (that doesn't drop in the polls) twice...and then play Texas at #3, your SOS is gonna be pretty high.

But the PAC did have about 5-6 teams ranked in the Top 25 consistently for most of the year.

I thought they were comparing UW's SOS to LSU's.

If TCU had won in it last year, would we have been talking about the TCU QB (whose name escapes me) as the best QB in 25 years?

What’s the term, “recency bias”?
Too many other factors surrounding the player and team to go down that path. Talent, strength of schedule, strength of the league vs the other leagues, style of play, etc.
And define recent? 5 years, since 2000, since 1985?

Auburn was 8-5 in 2009 and 8-5 in 2011. In 2010 they went 14-0 the only difference was Newton, yes they were mediocre without him
