Shea said his visit to us may be cancelled after a lengthy call between LSU and his side’s representatives

He would be an unproven body in the secondary. We have enough of those.

We need seasoned veterans with starting experience, not highly regarded recruits that have barely gotten mop up duty.

Because he’s not worth the money he’s asking. If Aggies want to continue to throw money away, that’s on them. Some players just aren’t worth the money they are asking.

Good. Kid is not worth the trouble and wasted man-hours. He only wants to know $$ amount.

he's a 5 star talent. you absolutely play ball to land his services. why are we getting gun shy on dollars now?
Yea because this worked out great with the last 5 star DB that LSU missed out on out of High School.

I'm sure LSU spoke to his agent. He is asking for X amount of dollars. LSU must have said it wasn't going to approach that amount. That's how these things are done.

I'm not one of those "the college game is ruined now" people, it is what it is, but that sentence kind of blew my mind

Guarantee he’s asking for top money. These kids wanna bounce around extorting colleges for top money cause they had a high HS ranking. All the while they aren’t doing shite at the college level.

Sorry little Deez, Peewee highlights don’t count anymore. Better invest that money well.

I'm with you, but it's a different world. These guys all have agents negotiating their deals with various schools. There is discussion of money, opportunity, etc. Then they decide where to go.

The one that spent most of the year suspended and got kicked off his first team? Big shock that one didn't work out.

Well, these guys have maybe 1 year to cash in on that recruitment reputation. Year 2, the college football world knows you aren't worth that.

Alabama DB transfer Dezz Ricks tells me he’s no longer visiting LSU this week.

Oregon and Ole Miss are possible visit destinations after his trip to Texas A&M.

Saw somewhere he played 9 snaps all season. Honestly, he’d have been better off staying at Bama another year and getting a ton of experience in a depleted secondary

Time to move on. If bridges weren’t burned with the way his recruitment ended, they were at least damaged. Kid’s handlers were probably trying to hold LSU over a barrel and we just told him to move on. Some of you are melting, but the fact is he is an unproven commodity. Would we have loved to have him? Sure. But what we really need are guys who have experience and can be plug and play.

So you just gonna throw tons of money at a guy just because he was a 5 start recruit regardless of the absolutely nothing he’s done on the field so far and the fact that his attitude reeks of selfishness and greed? And odds are he goes out there and half arses it on the field because he had a sorry attitude and work ethic?

Yea I’m glad you aren’t the coach

There's the rub, these kids don't want to wait their turn and gain experience. They want it now. See Lance Heard.
