One more vote for Naxos. My wife and I went there and Santorini. Santorini is beautiful and is worth seeing, but it felt like more of a scene. Naxos felt more laid back and authentic. The town is nice for walking and we also enjoyed renting a car and exploring.
I've also heard great things about Paros and Crete but haven't been.
