Hell no. Did you watch him against Michigan?

Dude doesn’t set his feet when he throws

He has had 2 ACL injuries and a dislocated the SC joint in his non-throwing shoulder. He has overcame those injuries, but I do wonder if that is also a cause for concern.

the injury history is gonna cause him to drop more than anything
he will get a chance to prove himself and in the right system he could flourish but I don't think it would be a good fit with the Saints

Yes he could be a good backup for Nuss.

Penix went from being considered a god from some on here in the MSB to a 2nd or third rounder pretty quick.

I laughed when the MSB went ape-shite over Penix after the Texas game because that was probably the first time most on here had seen him play.

Ergo, the stupid bets for Washington that were touted on here.

You can't just tune into West Coast football, one game a year.

Penix was very good but not some Marino god.

Penix reminds me of an inconsistent Joe Burrow

He’s elite at times. The other games he looks like Tua.

The only games Burrow looks like this is if he’s playing injured.

All that being said, I think Penix is worth a look in rd 2.

His mechanics and footwork don’t help. Dude throws off his back foot into coverage all the time. He got away with it in the PAC12. He won’t in the NFL. His arm talent and elite receivers covered up a ton of his weaknesses

So you judge him based off of one game? You’re either lazy or a dumbass, but you do you.

I heard someone say that had Texas driven and won the game his stock would be so much higher than his team holding Texas and them winning the game. Life is crazy

I told myself the best thing that could happen to the Saints was for Penix to play terrible in the championship game. It happened and then he signed up to play in the Senior Bowl. Some team is going to get a great deal on a hell of a player. I would tend to think the Saints would be that team, especially with how much they like the Senior bowl, but then Loomis was comparing DA to Bill Walsh earlier this week so it's clear the Saints are drafting a 6' 10" Defensive End instead.
