Another important thing to remember with regards to the pace of the race is that they do more fuel saving throughout the race than they used to do. They don’t just save near the end. When Blaney and Bell had the lead, they were purposely going slower and slowed the pace of the entire field down.

Oh really?

I guess that makes the pack lapping Daytona at speeds lower than they ran in 1968 exciting!

/s if not obvious. I mean I didn't pick up on them talking about them driving around half throttle...

I’m all for safety with these cars but man they’re a bore on these restrictor plate tracks, maybe the 1.5 mile courses will have better races

Side note: what happened with Gilbert Brown and his group buying up the Milwaukee Mile?

Between the lack of horsepower and how wide these cars are, it’s difficult for these cars to move around. Everyone is kind of stuck where they are in line until wrecks thin the field out.

Hard to believe we’re already over halfway through the 500.

"They'll just fuel it backwards. As long as he's in his pitbox, it's a legal stop!"

Josh Berry spins on pit road. Preece caught for speeding.

Not a great round of stops for SHR.

Bruh.

We're in the middle of the Daytona 500 and you're speculating about the size of Blaney's dick.
