Same.
Many parts of the world just don’t have the access or convenience of food that we do here. People will point to our food and say it’s “this or that” which we put in it that makes us fat but the numbers show that every culture which gets the access to food that we have starts gaining weight. Parts of the Middle East, Africa, even the far East are all seeing significant increases in obesity (regardless of their food sources/make up) and it’s because of their increasing access to food or the cultural changes towards food.
The hard truth is that we as a species are physically and mentally hardwired to consume food when it’s available. So we either have to suppress that evolutionary trait or live a very active lifestyle - both of which are difficult in a post industrial and relatively wealthy society with an abundance of readily available food.

For me the easiest way to use this as dietary jiu-jitsu is one meal a day. Mine is more like a long extended meal window of 3 hours. And if I am very active in a day with exercise or work I supplement calories.
I just find it easier to use the gorge instinct instead of fight it and pretend food is not available the rest of the day. It’s amazing how the metabolism adjusts. I ran a marathon on a 24 hour fast once. I don’t necessarily recommend that but I just wanted to see if I could do it.
