physically and mentally hardwired to consume food when it’s available.

For me the easiest way to use this as dietary jiu-jitsu is one meal a day. Mine is more like a long extended meal window of 3 hours. And if I am very active in a day with exercise or work I supplement calories.

I just find it easier to use the gorge instinct instead of fight it and pretend food is not available the rest of the day. It’s amazing how the metabolism adjusts. I ran a marathon on a 24 hour fast once. I don’t necessarily recommend that but I just wanted to see if I could do it.

OMAD is the best. I wish people would try it before saying “oh I could never do that, I need my breakfast” etc.

If more people would try it, they’d get it. I think it would work for almost everyone.

That's impressive, but also not that crazy when you think about how we're built.

Hunt/gather for however long it takes...eat.

Your marathon was you running down that animal until it was exhausted enough for you to kill.

We're not grazers.

Intermittent fasting is probably more in line with our biology than consuming calories 10-12 hours out of the day. Sadly, it's become a "dieting/health trend", as if it's novel or something.

That's what I do. I found that it has worked for me now that my metabolism has slowed, because my appetite for the amazing cuisine that Louisiana has to offer hasn't.
