But JJ said the Stony Brook guy was the best this year by a long shot! Guess we'd best stop listening to his uninformed butt!

And at this point, they haven’t really been impressive against subpar competition

Were you too busy beating your dick the other day when we scored 27?? Or the day before that when we scored 12?

As I posted in another thread….. Here’s the reality….last year at this exact same point LSU was scoring 9 runs per game and giving up 4. This team? Averaging 8 runs a game and also giving up 4. Our record is exactly the same - 6-1. Take the emotional element out of everyone’s perspective and the 2 teams are performing about the same.

Start a thread. This deserves more attention

Get the frick out of here with your facts. J/K everyone needs to chill. It’s a marathon not a sprint. This team will be fine in the long run.

Florida getting 2 hit into the 6th inning vs mighty Columbia University. Whatever will these highly ranked teams do?!

Last two games alone, Tommy white has hit balls:

108.3 mph
107.3 mph
100.7 mph

White's problem is he's hitting missiles (on the ground) into the shift with runners on. LSU could conceivably have 10-15 more runs this season if Tommy was coming through with RISP like he has throughout his career.

He’s pulling everything and swinging at everything. His approach has been awful for him

And yet he’s hitting over .300 despite a low BABIP. White is fine.

I mean there’s a reason Jay lit into the team after the game.

Are you going to start the same thread for every game this season?

Of course there is….hes a great head coach, who, like Saban did in football, will use every opportunity to motivate. Hes just doing his job in the locker room.

He lit into the team because they’re playing poorly. Recognizing that they’re playing poorly at the moment is not mutually exclusive with thinking they suck

Except that they’re not. Is today- a win by the way- the only game we’re using as a measuring stick? We just set the program record for runs in a game. Jay likes this team and knows what they can be. He’s coaching them up realizing the need to continue improving and peak at the right time. Does that mean we’ll win a NC. Very very hard to do. But this team has the pieces. Patience.

No. They’ve hit poorly the last four games.

I’m aware, which is why he wants them to wake up because they have not played well since their record game. They had more hits that game than we’ve had the last 4 games combined.
