The amount of paperwork you have to do to make a change is insane. Stuff you would never do on a civilian contract.
This, along with the requirement for Davis-Bacon wages to be paid on all gov't projects, is why I refuse to bid any work for construction projects that use federal funds. We pay better than Davis-Bacon requires, but the paperwork we have to provide to prove it throws a complete monkey wrench in our payroll operations every single week we are involved in such a project. It's simply not worth the headache.

Drywall crews carry empty tubes of fire caulk in the gang box. They leave them on the floor and in the ceiling. No owner wants to have finished walls torn up to see if they are firecaulked. During clean up the empty tubes are put back in the gang box. Same thing with bags is sound insulation.
Remind me to never sub anything out to your crews. No project I've ever run has allowed the painters to touch a rated assembly before the inspector has been by to confirm that the fire caulk (all of which is red and easily visible) has been placed properly and in accordance with the UL design.
You have apparently been working with some shady characters from top to bottom in the industry.

MGP, yes. Any time you see a fancy bottle of bourbon for $75+ in places like Wyoming and New Mexico, the first word you should look for somewhere on the label is "Indiana".
Yep! And if you want to start your own bourbon brand, MGP has many different in-house recipes to choose from to blend and create “the perfect bourbon”. I used to wonder how a company that incorporated 2 months ago can be selling bourbon today. This is how. You can buy the barrels and blend/bottle it yourself, or MGP will do that for you too.

True, but I wouldn't say this is so much of a secret anymore and a good bit of people know it.
Fair enough I just wanted to participate.
A fair number of people know audits of public companies are conducted by 22 year olds too..

College grade inflation is real, which means college is easier than ever. If your kid comes home and tells you they failed out or got put on academic suspension, you can be 99% sure it is because they didn’t turn in their work—they took your money and partied.

Here’s another: In college I worked for 2 years at the plant that made GummiSavers. I worked on the GummiSavers packaging line. Very soon after I started, I got a persistent case of mud butt. I finally figured out why: Those GummiSavers are coated with mineral oil to run through the packaging machine better and I was eating at least 1 every 5 minutes. That’s 96 of them every shift. 5 days/week. That’s quite a lot of mineral oil I was consuming.

I would say tie welfare and snap benefits to academic performance of dependants. Watch that mess fix itself in a hurry.
You’d have parents threatening/bribing/harming teachers at that point. Not to mention the bleeding hearts that will pass them through because God forbid people learn a lesson.

I worked two summers at what was once called Colonial Sugar in Gramercy. Not sure what name it goes by now.
The only difference in the name brand sugar and the cheap store brand sugar is the label. I would watch them change the giant rolls of paper when changing from one product to the next.

I'd imagine that's the case across the board. There's no great value food plant cranking out every grocery item imaginable.

2: It really isn't a "great day in (fill in your city)". How would the DJ know? He/she/it hasn't been broadcasting from your city for decades

It's best to assume they all do that.
This is especially true if you're white and they're black.

Plastic soda bottles used to have a plastic gasket in the cap. They don’t anymore. This causes them to go bad much quicker than before.
Had totally forgotten about those. When did it stop?

If you drive a vehicle that requires you to use DEF, its just diluted liquid fertilizer. 32.5 percent nitrogen. So you fan use DEF on your lawn if you have the correct dilution ratio.

Killing them. Welfare is their livelihood, They'll kill teachers over that.
They would be now if they actually cared about academic performance as much as they do that 24 pack of Coke.

The most profitable part of a car dealership is service and parts. They make money on cars but most of the profitability is due to service. That's why so many smaller dealerships went away. You have to have a dealership with a dozen service bays or so to make money and get people in and out. An oil change and routine maintenance and repairs.
I'm in the equipment business and this is the case for any dealership of any type.

You can use wet Bounce pads to clean bugs off your grill and car front. Rinse off. Like magic.

There are actually only 10 herbs and spices in the KFC recipe. Pete Harman considered the number 10 unlucky, so he said there were 11 ingredients instead.

Yet another reason to have more male teachers in our schools. I think school administration's should momentarily incentive more men to join and stay in the teaching profession.
