Tomlin may end up with a losing record next year.

Starting him day 1 is a mistake. Mahomes didn't even start year 1 and he wasn't in a pressure cooker market like Chicago.

Fantastic moves by the Steelers. Even if it doesn't pan out record wise in 2024 and 2025 yall are sitting pretty in 2 years when the other AFC North teams are all trapped by huge contracts.

Fields will be much better in Pittsburgh.

Williams is gonna flop if he has to start day 1 for the Bears

Pressure cooker? Those dumbass fans are mourning losing Justin Fields. Caleb has a decent rookie year and they're going to think he's Mahomes.

A loud minority are mourning. I don't know anyone in real life who wanted to keep him after last season.

Even Michael Wilbon said on local radio that he sensed the fans were 50/50 on keeping him, which still seemed like an overestimation.

That there's even a split shows these people don't know what good QBing is. And it makes sense since the Bears haven't had one since Sid Luckman. They still haven't had a QB throw 30 TDs. If what Fields has done is enough for a sizable amount of the fanbase, there ain't a pressure cooker on the QB.

I mean Jay Cutler might be their best QB ever. Don’t really blame them for having low standards

The wrath of Kahn strikes again!

A solid backup for what will most likely be a 6th?

ANOTHER solid move by the Steelers GM!

Justin Fields to the Steelers marks the second time Omar Kahn fleeced
Ryan Poles.

When my Steelers were shopping Chase Claypool, I thought we'd get at best a 5th rounder.

When we flipped him for a 2nd, which became the 32nd pick in the draft, it was apparent someone in the Bears organization dropped the ball.

Claypool had a 1/2 good rookie season and several off the field issues. Not sure why anyone wanted him at all.

In his first season with Chicago, he caught 14 passes for 311 yards and a touchdown. Last year Claypool had four catches for 51 yards and a touchdown on 14 targets in three games. He didn't dress for another one or two, caused more off field drama, and then dealt away for a 6th.

Meanwhile, the Steelers drafted Joey Porter Jr. who was a Defensive Rookie of the Year finalist.

Now Poles gave away a good backup, albeit not a good starter, for what will most likely be a 2025 6th - the same return for Mac Jones. Fields or Jones, which one of those two would you prefer?

Is Poles entering his last season with Chicago?

McMahon might have an issue with that, given his career 46-15 record with the team, plus the Super Bowl title. He once won 25 games in a row (including the playoffs), which I think is still a record..

Certainly wouldnt surprise me but what makes you say that? We look like a better team than last year but we really overplayed our ability.

Jones. Probably should have left this part out of your post honestly.
