Ah, well yes, the rumors aren’t always true.
Totally wasted baws do tend to land badly on their heads.

Fred’s should still want to project a security presence to minimize life threatening situations.

Actually the one punch theory was in some of the first news reports, but oddly a later witness had a conflicting story to this, while it may have been the guy that the deceased got into it with that remains to be seen - at least two people with repath that night post here and they have yet to chime in as well as someone that visited him in the hospital.

I agree with Chicken. I went to Fred's about 10 years after i had graduated college to hear BTE. A young college aged kid kept trying to start shite while his buddies were waiting to pounce on someone. Never again.

How is it possible that we don’t have a person or persons of interest in this case yet?

I mean there is a chance cops/DA have reviewed video footage and there is no reason to have an arrest

That guy looks like a 40-year-old illegal immigrant

That's why they can't find him. If he's gang trash BRPD may not want to find him.

By the same token, older guys out of college go back & try & peacock to the college students as well.

He’s one of the best they’re sending us. What a POS. He’s probably already back in Mexico.

Because it would be impossible to use a buddy's college ID.

So I dont know what SOP is for a bar or business owner but if someone gets beaten up at your establishment are you obligated to call law enforcement?
Standard business invitee rules should apply, including the duty to provide emergency medical assistance. Once an ambulance is called to that kind of scene, cops are coming anyway.

Wait..wait .. wait

If cops are so bad why do the people in a difficult situation always ask for assistance with law enforcement?

You cannot have your cake and eat it too.

Bunch of fricking low life, uneducated liberals support this, UNLESS they feel like they are in trouble.

Then they want someone to save them.

A total load of left wing trash hypocrites.

If anyone of you need assistance, don't ask for the law to get you out of a situation.

Deal with it yourselves and tell me how that ends.

It'll probably end with the cops getting called. Pretty ironic, huh?

Doesn't look like someone most people would fear.

From the article:

quote:

Matthew Marsiglia, 21, was arrested Wednesday afternoon and is charged with one count of manslaughter. His bond has not been set at this time.

Investigators believe Marsiglia punched Devin Repath one time while in the parking lot of Fred’s Bar & Grill on March 23, 2024. However, Repath is accused of punching Marsiglia or someone in his group of friends, while inside the bar one time before the dispute moved outside.

From the WBRZ article:

quote:

According to a police report, Repath and his group were involved in an altercation inside the bar just after 1 a.m. Police said Repath was walking backward out of the bar when Marsiglia and his friends were in "hot pursuit." The document said Repath swung at one of the members in the group. He missed and they hit back, knocking Repath backward.

Police said the group "immediately began to rush Repath, knocking him to the ground." Repath was found by BRPD officers unconscious and bleeding from his head.

Repath, who is from Avondale, was in Baton Rouge celebrating his friend’s bachelor party. The group went to an LSU baseball game before ending their night at Fred’s in Tigerland, according to Repath’s father, JP Repath.

This is a terrible situation but they were prob drinking all day and the report says he swung at someone inside and missed?

This group probably started it.

This whole thing is going to get ugly in the courts. There’s a reason why his camp was able to keep him from turning himself in quicker

Back in the day somebody would have gone to high school with him, had classes at LSU with him, known what fraternity he was in. Now maybe some OTer will know his grandparents
